How to make a Debit or Credit Card Offering

If you would like to use your VISA, MasterCard or Debit Card for your church donations, simply complete a St. John Brebeuf Electronic Offering Authorization Form and return it to the parish office by fax (204-489-6097) or email (sjbfinance@sjbcommunity.ca). Your offerings will be processed in the amount requested. On the church bulletin boards, you will find laminated cards that read: “I have given my parish donations by Pre-Authorized Payment, VISA or MasterCard”. When you arrive at Mass, simply pick one up and when the collection basket is passed to you, place the card into it. It represents your donation to the Church on Sunday, and will illustrate the convenience of this system to other parishioners.

Debit/Credit Card Statements

Once your form is processed, the charges will appear on your bank account or credit card statement as “St. John Brebeuf Parish.” At the end of the year, you will be issued a tax receipt for the amount of your total annual offering.

Changing Offering Amounts

If your circumstances change, and you decide to change the amount of your offering during the course of a year, simply call the parish office and advise us of the required changes. We also require notification in the event of a change in debit or credit card information. Changes can also be made on an annual basis by filling out a new form.

Weekly Offering Envelopes

If you wish to make your contributions by cash or cheques on a weekly basis, please contact the parish office to order weekly offering envelopes. Packets contain envelopes for weekly donations, special collections, as well as envelopes for the Sharing God’s Gifts Archdiocesan Appeal. Tax receipts are issued at the end of the year for your total annual offering. Prepared envelope packets are made available for pickup in the church.

E-Transfers (New)

St. John Brebeuf offers the option to donate electronically via E-Transfer (or Interac).  If you would like to use your banking system to make an offering please follow these instructions:

1.  Log in to your on-line banking account

2.  Select E-Transfer (or Interac)

3.  Complete the necessary information

4.  Use Email address: sjbfinance@sjbcommunity.ca

5.  Submit your contribution.

Your offering is directly deposited into the church’s account and notification of the offering is forwarded to Finance.  All information in the message box is included in the notification.
