Our parish is offering the opportunity for you to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation every Saturday from 4 pm to 4:45 pm. You can also call the parish office to request an appointment.

Parents are encouraged to baptize their children shortly after they are born. Please contact the Parish Office for more information at 204-488-4467. Adults and children age 7 and up who need baptism take part in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, depending on individual circumstances.

Through baptism, one is made a member of the Body of Christ–the Church. This marks a very personal relationship with God through discipleship, which is celebrated and lived out in community. Baptism leads us to participate in the Eucharist and commissions us to proclaim the Gospel with our lives.

In the St. John Brebeuf community, children celebrate their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in Grade 2. Sessions are held in person every other Sunday from 11:05 AM to 11:50 AM. The program begins with an orientation for parents on the following date:

St. John Brebeuf Parishioners: Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the parish hall.

The program fee is $80 for parishioners, payable by e-transfer to sjbfinance@sjbcommunity.ca (please indicate “First Communion and name of child” in the comments box), or by cash or cheque at the parish office, Monday to Friday from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM.
